Since our inception in 2008 we have been committed to providing our curriculum and educational resources free of charge to schools across the country. In return we ask that you have all of your students complete this brief one-minute student survey. It helps us measure your students’ academic, as well as personal growth through utilization of our curriculum.
In addition, we would be most appreciative if all educators who implemented the Citizenship Counts program would complete our short two-minute survey. We rely heavily on feedback from you as educators to help us enhance our program and ensure that we continue to meet your educational requirements and needs.
All survey data for students, educators and administrators will always be kept confidential. Thank you in advance for your participation as your feedback is crucial to our success.
Citizenship Counts is proud to be one of the 100+ civic-minded organizations represented in the national coalition called CIVXNow. Please read below for the startling results from a national poll that was reported by CIVXNow.
Among seven solutions to the deep polarization that grips our country, a majority of Americans chose K-12 civic education as the best solution. Renowned pollster Frank Luntz recently conducted a pro-bono poll for CivXNow. The research tapped the opinions of a representative sample of the American electorate. When asked which would have the most positive and meaningful impact on strengthening the American identity, Americans chose civic education as the number one choice among other options such as: “a year of national service,” “money in politics,” or “ranked choice voting.” Most importantly, it received bi-partisan support as both Democrats and Republicans chose it equally.
In concluding what CivXNow members should take from the survey, Mr. Luntz said, “Not only are you on the right path, but you are essential to the future health of this country. Particularly in light of this election, you should redouble your efforts to bring about a greater commitment to civic education even sooner. We are running out of time. We are losing a generation. We need civic knowledge right now.”
